In 2011 Sue held her first solo exhibition after completing her bachelor of fine art with first class honours at QCA, Griffith University, Brisbane in 2010. In 2007, as part of her studies, Sue took part in a 5 month study exchange at California State University and participated in two group shows while in San Francisco.
Sue has been a finalist in the Churchie Emerging art exhibition, the Clayton Utz Traveling Scholarship, the Sunshine Coast Art Prize and won first prize in the RBWH Art Award in 2008. In 2009 Sue was commissioned by the Qld State Government for a public art project and in 2010 received an Australia Council ArtStart grant as well as participating in a group show at Ryan Renshaw. In 2011 Sue was selected to take part in the group exhibition Check in as part of the Brisbane Emerging Arts Festival and in 2012 was a finalist in the Albury Art Prize.
Sue is currently based in Brisbane, Australia and is represented by Gilligan Grant Gallery in Melbourne. Her work is held in public and private collections internationally. |
